Let us explain the connection between the We Make A Difference fundraising and Community Benefits.
We Make a Difference ("WMAD") (ACN: 626 022 624) provides loyalty programs and related services. Community Benefits (ACN: 660 664 031) is authorised to market and sell WMAD's loyalty programs to customers in accordance with an Affiliate Agreement.
Community Benefits is your day-to-day contact - think of us as your Account Manager.
how does this work?
- WMAD is a customer loyalty platform. The WMAD app provides access to: - over 200 major brand gift cards;
- - exclusive travel and leisure discounts;
- - cashback offers;
- - discounted restaurant offers;
- - unique offers from local businesses. Every time your donors, members, supporters and volunteers purchase a gift card through their WMAD membership, they receive a discount, and a portion of that purchase is donated to your organisation and paid out every three months.
- How much your organisation receives in donations is directly related to the spending habits of your donors, members, supporters and volunteers. That is why it is important to promote the benefits of the WMAD fundraising program. The more people who you sign up, and the more they spend, the more that is donated to your organisation.

registering your organisation
Get started by registering your organisation.
Because the WMAD fundraising program deals with money, there are certain compliance obligations we must follow before we can register your organisation and get you up and running. These are set out below:
If you are a Charity...We need the following:
- a copy of your constitution;
- a copy of your Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC) registration;
- a copy of identification (e.g. a driver's licence) for your nominated contact person; and
- proof that you have a bank account in the name of the charity (e.g. a bank statement).
If you are a Community Group...
We need the following:
- a copy of your constitution;
- a copy of identification (e.g. a driver's licence) for your nominated contact person; and
- proof that you have a bank account in the name of the charity (e.g. a bank statement).
If you are a School P&C or P&F Association...
We need the following:- a copy of your constitution;- a copy of identification (e.g. a driver's licence) for your nominated contact person; and- proof that you have a bank account in the name of the charity (e.g. a bank statement).
If you are a Sporting Club or Association...We need the following:
- a copy of your constitution;
- a copy of identification (e.g. a driver's licence) for your nominated contact person; and
- proof that you have a bank account in the name of the charity (e.g. a bank statement).
Plus, we need some additional basic information...The onboarding process also requires you to provide the following basic information about your organisation:
- Why your organisation registered;
- What your organisation wants to achieve;
- How many donors, members, supporters, volunteers your organisation has.
Once Your Organisation is Registered...We will get in touch and walk you through how you promote to your donors, members, supporters and volunteers.

- Once your registration has been approved, you are ready to start promoting the WMAD fundraising program to your donors, members, supporters and volunteers.
- Use the marketing assets we provide to promote the WMAD fundraising program. Send out e-mails, promote on your social media pages, put information in newsletters - anything you can think of. Let people know about the discounts, savings, local offers and fundraising power of WMAD.

- Make sure that your donors, members, supporters and volunteers select your organisation when they sign up, otherwise you won't receive donations from their purchases. By selecting your organisation, your organisation will receive a notification from WMAD which will ask you to verify that the person is, in fact, part of your organisation.
- When your donors, members, supporters and volunteers sign up for a WMAD membership, they will receive a free Standard membership with access to cashback offers only. Once you verify the person as part of your organisation, the person will be upgraded to a free Platinum membership and any purchases through the WMAD app will generate a donation for your organisation.
- Step 2 - Get Your Donors, Members, Supporters and Volunteers to Download the WMAD App and Login
- The WMAD app can be downloaded from the Apple Store or Google Play,
- When your donors, members, supporters and volunteers login to the WMAD app, they can only access cashback offers. Remember, once you verify the person as part of your organisation, the person will be upgraded to a free Platinum membership and any purchases through the WMAD app will generate a donation for your organisation.
- Step 3 - Verify Your Members
- Once your donors, members, supporters and volunteers sign up, your organisation will need to verify that the person is part of your organisation. Once verified, the person will be upgraded to a free Platinum membership and any purchases through the WMAD app will generate a donation for your organisation.
what do i need to do?
Promote, promote, promote.
Remember, the more people who you sign up, and the more they spend, the more that is donated to your organisation. The biggest challenge is changing people's habits from paying by cash or card to paying by gift cards purchased through their WMAD membership. That is why is it important to promote the discounts, savings, local offers and fundraising power of their WMAD membership.

The range of promotional assets provided below can be used to promote the WMAD fundraising program to your donors, members, supporters and volunteers.
We will provide a range of promotional assets for year-round promotion - just download the relevant asset and use accordingly.
Some promotional assets are in PowerPoint format so you can add contact details, a QR code, or other information. Once you have added the desired information, save the file in the format that suits you and use as appropriate.

- There are a number of different events throughout the year that you can use to promote the WMAD fundraising program to your donors, members, supporters and volunteers.

Other significant dates, events & occasions
There are other dates, events and occasions that occur during the year where the WMAD fundraising program can be promoted to your donors, members, supporters and volunteers.
Some of these dates, events and occasions occur on a regular schedule and an e-mail campaign can be used to remind your your donors, members, supporters and volunteers to purchase their gift cards - for example, on pay days or leading into a weekend when most people do their weekly shopping.
You can use a generic e-mail campaign to promote the WMAD fundraising program for other dates, events and occasions. There is a gift card or online shop for every date, event and occasion.
